David Tennant

David appeared as Jimmy Porter in the John Osbourne play Look Back In Anger in 2005.
He was the winner of Best Male Performance at the 2005 Critic Award For Theatre In Scotand for the role.
David also took part in a reading of the play in 2006, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Royal Court in London.

Look Back in Anger (1956) is a John Osborne play about a love triangle involving an intelligent but disaffected young man (Jimmy Porter), his upper-middle-class, impassive wife (Alison), and her snooty best friend (Helena Charles). Cliff, an amiable Welsh lodger, attempts to keep the peace. The play was a success on the London stage, and spawned the term "angry young men" to describe Osborne and other writers of his generation who employed harshness and realism, in contrast to what was seen as more escapist fare previously.
